In addition to being a devoted mother to four and grandmother to nine, Lori White is an avid genealogist who has devoted more than 45 years to family history research. Her experience includes six years as a FamilySearch center director, two years offering phone support to FamilySearch users, and decades as a FamilySearch center volunteer. She specializes in research for the Mid-Atlantic and Western states but has researched ancestors all over the U.S, Sweden, Germany, Italy, and more. She is in the process of becoming an Accredited Genealogist through the International Commission for the Accreditation of Professional Genealogists.

This program covers the basics of genetic genealogy, DNA testing, and how to figure out use DNA matches to solve an unknown parentage case. 

Libby will present how she used the Leeds Method to analyze an adoptee’s DNA matches, build back match trees, and ultimately identify the biological parents of her subject. This presentation includes a live demonstration of how Libby uses Ancestry Pro Tools to do the Leeds Method of clustering.

Anna Phillips is an Investigative Genetic Genealogist and the owner of Uncovered Roots. She works with a Denver organization that partners with law enforcement agencies in solving cold cases and Doe cases. She also volunteers her time as a Search Angel, helping people find their biological family members. Anna has researched genealogies for over twenty years and enjoys bringing genetic genealogy into the mix and teaching others how to use genetic genealogy in their family trees.
