El Rancherito is one of West Denver’s long-standing neighborhood restaurants, with roots dating back to 1984. Originally opened as Torres Restaurant, it was among the first Mexican eateries in the Barnum area and later renamed El Rancherito under new family ownership.

For more than three decades, the restaurant has remained family-run, serving traditional Michoacán-style Mexican food based on recipes passed down through generations. Known for its approachable prices, breakfast service, and classic dishes like smothered burritos, menudo, and posole, El Rancherito has become a local fixture, with multiple generations of Denver families returning over the years.
