Thursday, September 25th we’re going back to the School House Kitchen and Libations!

The kids are hitting the books, so let’s hit the School House Kitchen & Libations for a little recess of our own! Join the CGS Lunch Bunch for good food and fun conversation.
Arvada’s first schoolhouse was built in 1869 as a one-room woodframe schoolhouse. In 1882 it was replaced by the current brick and mortar structure. The school closed in 1920, and soon thereafter the building became a movie theater, which remained until 1952, and then it housed a variety of businesses until 2015, when it became the School House Kitchen and Libations. This historic lunch location should make all of you genealogists / historians feel like you’re in your happy place. We’d be delighted if you could join us for lunch to keep in touch with your genealogy friends – or meet some new ones!
