Heirlooms

June 24, 2023 9:30 am - 12:00 pm

Speaker: Neill Farrington

An American Clock tells the story of a fourth-generation family heirloom, an 8′ Herschede Grand Hall Clock; the discovery of its provenance and of learning of this clock’s place in American clock history.  This exciting tale starts in the early 1900s and includes stops from Portland, OR, Cincinnati, St. Louis and the 1904 World’s Fair.

The second part of the class/program will allow attendees to talk for about 5 minutes (depending how many) about their favorite heirloom – picture, jewelry, book, etc. People really like to do this.
